Things were better back then . . .

How oft’ as a child did I dream of smoking cigarettes with a rooster? How oft’ was I denied gratification? How oft’ has this denial replayed in my head sapping my confidence and chipping away at my soul? Thank God young Henri Groulx will never know the shame that has haunted me all these years.

For more examples of comic archival photography, you can check the ‘Library and Archives Canada’ website; but you don’t have to take my word for it!
