Update

Looking back I realized that I've written posts which end in phrases like 'I'll keep you posted' or 'more on this in future posts' and then never updated them at all. Thus, I would like to take this opportunity to tie up any lose ends that might be plaguing you, my readers.

1) I still work at Rogers.
2) My bike is definately gone.
3) . . .

And I've lost interest in this post . . .

A Mighty, Mighty Good Man!

Dearest readers,

Today I offer a challenge to you all. Using the site provided draw your own picture of your hero. Using the ‘print screen’ key save a copy of the picture and post it on your blog/website/whatever, and leave a link to it in the comments section of this post. The ‘contest’ ends April 1st and the winning entry will be posted for all to see here on ColourCircus.
My own entry is LeVar Burton because he is one cool dude and it’s he that hosts ‘Reading Rainbow’ and it was the site for said show where I discovered this ‘Hero and Hopes’ machine. Kudos LeVar, keep up the good work!

Sincerely
Mano Chullo

Things were better back then . . .

How oft’ as a child did I dream of smoking cigarettes with a rooster? How oft’ was I denied gratification? How oft’ has this denial replayed in my head sapping my confidence and chipping away at my soul? Thank God young Henri Groulx will never know the shame that has haunted me all these years.

Was there ever a doubt?

Not as flattering a description as I could have hoped for, but in many ways it’s accurate.

You Are a Bright Star Soul

Like a shining star, you have no trouble being the center of attention
In fact, you often feel a bit hurt when all eyes aren't on you
You need to be number one in everything, no matter how trivial
And it's this ego that both hurts your confidence and helps you acheive

You're dramatic and a powerhouse of pure energy
You posess a divine quality or uniqueness that's hard to define
A natural performer, it's likely you'll become famous in some circles.
Just learn not to take everyone's reaction to you so personally!

Souls you are most compatible with: Newborn Soul and Prophet Soul

St. Patrick's

St. Patrick’s Eve was fantastic, as was St. Patrick’s day. My only compliant, regarding this March 17th’s festivities, is that despite attending two different parties and a bar, I only heard two ‘Irish-esk’ songs. For the rest of the night the music was of a decidedly ‘bland’ nature. I got a parking ticket St. Pat’s Eve from parking in the student centre parking lot, and then went home to find I had movies overdue from the library. I plan to pay both debts posthaste before I spend all my money and can’t. Speaking of money, I really could use a new way of earning it. This mall gig has MOST DEFINITELY run its course.

Radar Blip

So I was sick for a week or so, and now I’m not. The reason I am telling you this story is because I mistakenly believe that will make me more popular. I will probably have more to post after tonight (Pre St. Patrick’s Day) and tomorrow (St. Patrick’s Day).

Flea Market Find

The other day Shabudabu and I hit the greatest flea market known to mankind in Copetown. While she checked out the market’s selection of princess wagons, I made a stellar purchase (do people still say stellar?) for less than the advertised rate. $2 less in fact. The huge pub/legion-esk portrait of Winston Churchill was listed as costing $20 but I got it for $18. It’s got a bit of water damage, but overall I am happy with the purchase. I also have a lead on a similar (both in proportion and price) portrait of Sir Wilfrid Laurier which might soon find itself up for sale.

The 7 Principles of Life!

I was surfing the internet and came across the Wholefood Farmacy which espouses ‘7 Principals of Life’. These principals are as follows . . .

1) Fresh Air & Sunshine
2) Water
3) Whole Foods
4) Walking
5) Loving Relationships
6) Passion
7) A Good Night’s Sleep

It’s funny how such simple concepts can make such marked differences in peoples lives once they’re applied.

"We rely on [music] to take us out of sadness" - Eugene Hütz

There are weird people in the world and sometimes these people produce really wicked music. This is the case of the band’s I’ve recently linked to in the ColourCircus sidebar. I’ll only post bands there that I think are excellent and probably unknown to my readership. (HA, I claimed to have a readership!!)

A blossoming friendship with with Moss J

A few weeks ago my friends and I totally got to hang out with Moss J. He is a really cool record executive from Nevada and he totally showed up at our games night. He was SO cool, it was like meeting a movie star! His beak is really cool too. We asked him to narrate our new television series ‘The Friendship Show’ and he graciously accepted. We acted out the pilot episode about baking Piaya and he loved it.

Thus far the plot is simple:

A Butcher named Sue Baker (Candace), a Candlestick Maker (Nips), and a Baker (Yours Truly) move into an apartment but can’t pay rent. The Landlord (Johnny Three Sides) says he will accept food as rent and the three friends set to work. It’s a different recipe each week and Moss J narrates the entire journey from start to finish. The three friends are aided by their Manager (Dave) and their Mermaid (Robyn) who takes charge of Public Relations and Marketing. If the food prepared does not meet with the Landlord’s exacting standards, the friends are evicted.

“Thrilling and hilarious, the Friendship show is an experience to watch” - Mano Chullo

“Friendshit Show” - Foul Detractors

Once we film it I will endeavour to render it online and post it somewhere for viewing / reviewing purposes.
